The Desert is both a color and pattern mutation. They are jet black and bright gold with a wicked reduced pattern. I looked at quite a few Deserts before getting my original male. His bold color and super reduced pattern really stood out compared to some others I had seen. Deserts have been mixed with several other morphs with great success.
My personal favorites so far have been the Tiger { desert x enchi } and the Desert Pinstripe. There are still lots of exciting new morphs just waiting to be created with this mutation.
